Turn your raw DNA file and/or your own hum into gentle music. DNA files from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, LivingDNA or similar) into a short, gentle melody in E♭ major.
You can also add a brief verse, prayer or inspiration in your own voice. Speak or sing up to about 60 seconds and it is woven into your song. Anyone is welcome, of any faith or none. Add a verse or inspiration
Your DNA file and your voice never leave this device. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is saved unless you choose “Remember on this device” (just a small note that you agreed to the Terms).
Before you make music
This site is free, for personal use only. You may not sell, charge for, or license music made here, or offer it as a paid service to others. You’re welcome to share your own creations freely.
Please read the Terms of Use before you begin.
Optional, off unless you tick it. If ticked, your browser keeps only a small note that you agreed to this version of the Terms: no name, no music, nothing sent. “Clear everything” erases it.

This page has no server and is blocked from making network requests. It reads your file and your recording in this browser tab only.
Start here
- Agree to the Terms in the box above.
- Optional: record or upload a short hum (10–30 seconds is plenty) in step 2, Your voice. Your music is then made from it.
- Pick your sounds. In Nature soundscape and NASA sounds, press Preview to hear each one first. Mix the ones you like. No hum and no DNA file? Your track is just the sounds you pick (a do-it-yourself soundscape).
- Optional: add your 23andMe or other raw DNA file, a verse, or your own music for inspiration.
- Press Play in step 3, then tune it with Mood, Pitch and Tone.
The samples below play without anything from you. The Brainwave series only needs a frequency.

"I'm an open book. I chose to share my own DNA song here so you can hear what this makes. You never have to do the same: your DNA file and your voice stay on your own device, and nothing is ever uploaded or shared." – Craig
🎧 Listening tip: headphones or earbuds are recommended for the fullest, most immersive sound, but speakers work fine too. Start at a comfortable, low volume.
Your song will sound different: it's made from your own DNA and your own voice.
1. Your DNA file (optional)
Please read and agree to the Terms of Use above to begin.
How do I get my raw DNA file?
Sign in to your DNA testing company's website and look in your account or settings for an option such as "Download raw data" or "Export DNA data". 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA and LivingDNA all offer this. The company usually emails you when the file is ready. You can choose the .zip directly. Different companies test different DNA markers, so the same person can get a different song from each company's file.
Only a short stretch from the start of your file (chromosome 1) is used, so the song carries very little of your genetic information.
2. Your voice (optional)
Please read and agree to the Terms of Use above to begin.
Hum or chant a long, steady Aum for 10-30 seconds. Your voice then becomes the instrument.
Add a verse or inspiration (optional)
Please read and agree to the Terms of Use above to begin.
You can add a brief verse, prayer, affirmation or inspiring line in your own voice, spoken or sung, to include in your audio. Keep it short: up to about 60 seconds (anything longer is trimmed). It is for everyone, whatever you believe, of any faith or none.
With the Clear choice, your music dips softly while your words play, and a touch of warmth and room is added so your voice sits gently in the song. It goes through the same 60 Hz low cut and volume limiter as everything else.
Rights: please use your own words, scripture or public-domain text, or words you have the right to use.
Privacy: your verse recording and words stay on this device. They are never uploaded or saved, and “Clear everything” removes them. Your verse is included in the WAV download; the MIDI download contains notes only, so it leaves the verse out.
3. Create
Use at least one of steps 1 and 2. With both, your voice sings your DNA melody over a drone of your own hum. With only your voice, you get a slow, calm hum piece. With only DNA, a soft synth tone plays the melody.
Make it yours (optional)
Change the sound to suit you. Every setting is optional, and nothing is saved: closing the page or pressing "Clear everything" puts them back. Settings marked live change while the song plays; the others take effect the next time you press Play. Downloads (WAV, and MIDI where it applies) always use your current settings.
Your DNA melody or your hum stays the lead on top. Styles are made from simple instruments synthesized on your device, so they sound like a synthesizer rather than a live band. Choosing a style also picks a suitable speed, tone and room, which you can still change.
Every instrument, chord and drum is made by reshaping your own hum. It sounds more organic and a little less like each real instrument.
How does this work?
When Everything from my voice is on, nothing synthesized is added. Your hum is reshaped into every part: chords, strings, choir and organ are copies of your hum moved to each note of the chord; piano, harp and guitar plucks are short slices of your hum with a quick start and fade; rock and metal guitars are your hum with distortion; the bass is your hum moved lower; the kick drum is a short burst of your hum dropped quickly in pitch (never below 60 Hz); the snare and hi-hats are tiny, brightened snippets of your hum. The melody and steady background are your hum as always. Only effects are applied on top: echo/room, the tone filter and the volume limiter.
Slower or faster without changing the pitch: the DNA melody, and the band in any style other than Ambient. 54 is the calm default; 59 is the original. Calm styles: 40–80; energetic styles: 60–160.
The notes that move: your DNA melody, or the occasional higher phrases in a hum-only piece. 0% turns them off.
A gentle echo, made on your device. 0 is dry and close.
The soft fifth is under Voice options above. Loudness is kept even: playback has a gentle limiter, and downloads are levelled so they never clip.
4. Brainwave series (optional, experimental)
Informational and experiential only. Not medical advice or treatment. Don't use while driving or operating machinery. If you have epilepsy or a seizure disorder, a heart condition, are pregnant, or have a pacemaker, talk to your doctor first. Use a low, comfortable volume. Stop if you feel uncomfortable.
This is an independent tool and is not affiliated with any biotuning practitioner or company. Everything here is made on this device. Nothing is uploaded or saved.
If you've had your voice frequencies analyzed (sometimes called being biotuned), or you know your own fundamental frequency, you can make your own series of gentle brainwave-entrainment tracks built on your note. You can also use the note of the hum you added in step 2.
Please read and agree to the Terms of Use above to begin.
Theory behind it
Frequency-following response. When we hear a sound that pulses steadily, the brain's auditory system produces electrical activity that follows that rhythm. This can be measured with EEG. The idea of "brainwave entrainment" is that listening to a steady rhythm in one of the brain's natural ranges (bands) might nudge brain activity towards that range. That idea is still being tested.
Binaural beats. Each ear hears a slightly different pitch, for example 160.128 Hz on the left and 161.379 Hz on the right. No beat exists in the air: the brain combines the two and perceives a slow wobble at the difference, here 1.251 Hz. Binaural beats need headphones.
Monaural beats / gentle AM. Here the beat is really in the sound: the volume rises and falls smoothly at the beat rate, so it also works on speakers. This tool uses a soft sine-shaped swell, not harsh on/off clicks.
Octaves of your own note. An octave is a doubling or halving of frequency. Halving your fundamental again and again keeps the same note "name" in a much slower rhythm. For example 80.064 Hz halved 6 times is 1.251 Hz. If two octaves fit inside a band, the one nearest the middle of the band is used. If none fits (for example low beta is only 12–15 Hz wide), the band centre is used and the table says so. The carrier you hear is also your note, moved by octaves into a comfortable 100–400 Hz range. Using octaves of a personal note is an idea from sound practice, not something tested by science.
The bands. Delta (about 0.5–4 Hz) is most associated with deep sleep; theta (4–8 Hz) with drowsiness and deep relaxation; alpha (8–12 Hz) with calm, eyes-closed rest; low beta (12–15 Hz) with relaxed, steady attention; gamma (about 40 Hz) is studied in connection with attention and perception. These are associations seen in EEG research, not effects the sound is guaranteed to have.
Evidence is mixed and still being studied. A 2019 meta-analysis found a medium average effect of binaural beats on some measures of memory, attention, anxiety and pain perception (Garcia-Argibay, Santed & Reales, Psychological Research, 2019). A 2023 systematic review of EEG studies found the results inconsistent: 5 of 14 studies supported entrainment, 8 did not and 1 was mixed (Ingendoh, Posny & Heine, PLOS ONE, 2023). Nothing here heals, treats or cures anything.

Score (PDF / print) makes sheet music of your song on this device, once it has a DNA melody: the same parts as the MIDI download. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Your score
Rhythms are rounded to the nearest sixteenth note. Written at concert pitch. This score of your song is yours to use as you wish. Made with Voice of Creation (voice-of-creation.pages.dev).
How did that feel?
Tap what you noticed and the music is gently re-made on your device. Taps add up, and you can undo. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere, and “Clear everything” forgets it.
Free sample score
A short piece for small orchestra (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, harp and strings, 32 bars), free for everyone. Its melody comes from the digits of the number pi, not from anyone’s DNA or voice.
